That same stuff above also works great as a point cam lube too! It is IMO the best stuff for brake lube. :)

The tin piece on mine had a cut out of the two humps and kinda snaped on to the new pads. I have been using the same brand pads with no squeal. Do the factory replacements have the tin piece as well?

Is it a squeel or more of a high-pitched grinding sound?
I was using high-metallic pads at one time, and they made more of a grinding noise.
Changed to the cheaper pads and problem solved.

I've pretty much repeated the same response the last 6 or 8 times this problem has been discussed so to reinterate. Brake grease will do nothing, shim will do nothing, brake squeel stop behind the pads will do nothing. beveling, sanding the pads will do nothing. Steel wooling or sanding the rotor will fix the problem for one day or so, then it will return. You can either get a different brand of pad and hope for the best or put up with it.
Of course my opinion only as other guys have had luck. I threw enough aftermarket trash brake pads in the trash over the agony of this problem that I won't go through it again. Look on ebay for original pads. I've aquired about 6 sets so I don't go through this.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Pretty much sums up my experience as well. I also drilled small holes in the face of the pads and stuffed graphite in them to change the coefficient of friction: worked for a couple of weeks then the graphite was gone and the squealing came back.

My new EBC pads are squealing pretty bad. However, I noticed that some aftermarket Z1 pads also fit Suzuki GT models and those pads are still available from Suzuki. Something to look into instead of handing over big money for OEM pads.
