Has anybody used ATF in there front fork tubes? I can't find fork oil local and will have to drive 20 miles one way to get fork oil. I used to have a 1980 cbx 1000 and they recommended ATF oil in it.

for many years honda used atf it is equivilent to around 7 wt oil. one added benifit is atf has seal swelling qualitys also, so it won't hurt anything.
