looks like a cool bike, but thats a lot of money.anything that sits for 20 years is gonna need lots of help to bring back to 100%,thats a long time for the springs to hold them valves open without going flat not to mention stuck rings ............

He says he's got the record certificates. I'd like to see them. I was heavily into drag racing during that time frame and I can't recall that motorcycle. Very few if any guys ever made a KZ650 run with a turbo. Guys I knew that drag raced KZ1000 turbos clear down in the 8 sec range could not make a KZ650 work. Too small, not enough airflow to get the turbo spinning, they would run good on the top end, but sit there the first 60ft for 4 seconds.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

launch it on the bottle and hold it on the two step and that will solve the spooling up issue.

I remember this bike and have the Hot Bike magazine issue it was featured in, but it's packed a way in storage at the momemnt while our house eats the $10K that should have been my new engine.... Seems to me the pics of his IDBA or Dragbike! record certificates were in there too. Upstate NY boys iirc, used to show up at Cayuga the odd Sunday back in the day - there were a bunch of NY guys with real fast turbo bikes.
