I have a very small leather pouch I keep on the front forks on my KZ for my insurance card, tools, and etc. It would be nice though to have some saddlebags you could attach/detach easily when you needed them. I know you can get the fiberglass Police saddlebags and mounts for the KZ's, and there are a ton of aftermarket setups, but I wanted to see what you guys have done. I've also toyed with the idea of mounting a soft cooler on the back part of the seat, but there doesn't seem like a good way to do it. Let's see what you guys have got!

I took a soft cooler and sewed the carrying strap together to form an opening that slides over my sissy bar. I sewed d rings to the lower rear corners and used some spring clips on straps to hold the cooler from sliding to one side. No sissy bar? Maybe put 4 d rings on the bottom of the cooler and tie the cooler tightly to the grab rail. I'll try to get some pics. Where there is beer, there is a way!

I've got this set of Shoei hard bags that are a universal fit.
They do not attach/detach easily. They're bolt on, taking a few hours to attach or remove all the mounts and hardware etc.
Not very large either.

saltydog, could you post up your avatar picture a little larger? ;)
