Fork seals?

Never done em before and im wondering what im facing.
Is there any tips floating around out there that i could use.
Mine are so gone my front fender is getting dented from the nuts holding my fairing on.
Its an 82 Kz550

I thought the inner springs were what allowed the travel level. Oil seal was just to keep oil in for lubrication and water out so it wouldn't contaminate the oil causing break down of inner seals and spring tention?If this were the case then your travel down to your fairing would be week inner springs. But I DONT KNOW someone else should be able to help,

yeah your probably right,
when i pull up the dust boots i can see that the seals have big chunks missing and they are all rotten and what not, i changed the fork oil properly, but they wont hold air at all, i fill em up with air and its gone within an hour sooo.
could be weak springs too, i will probably add a piece of pvc tubing at the top of the spring to stiffen it up a little bit.
