So I checked out a cherry GL1000 with 7000 miles on it over the weekend, I love those bikes! The guy wants too much for it so I won't be getting this one, but after sitting on it I realized what my LTD handlebars wish they were!
There are a few old GL's scrapped at my local cycle-recycle and I was wondering if anyone has swapped old-wing bars onto LTD's before. People usually swap out the mini-hangers for superbike bars, but I like to sit upright when I ride, and the goldwing bars are much better designed than my bars. Would the throttle and clutch cables need to be lengthened/replaced or would they fit?
