gsxr rearend swap was created by thompsonmx100
Has anyone on here tried to swap a gsxr rearend onto an 85 gpz 750. I ve got the pivot mounted but I cant get the shock linkage to mount I'm not sure if i should use the stock linkage or the gsxr linkage. Any info would be appreciated. I cant quite find what i need on 750 turbo. thought maybe someone here might know where I can find what I need. Thanks in advance.

You need to duplicate the Gsxr linkage and mounts as closely as you can or your ride will suffer and you won't gain anything. Chances are that you will need to modify your frame to work with the new linkage instead of the other way around.

I did some hunting on 750 turbo last night and it sounds like they are using the stock rocker. Which would have more leverage over the shock than the gsxr rocker. I'm thinking about going this route first and doing a shock swap like a zr7s or a gsxr shock that will fit without mods to the frame. Might be able to go with a stiffer spring in the end if the sag is wrong. As far as the small differences in rising rates go I don't think Im that good to notice the difference. My bike should hopefully weigh about the same as gsxr. thanks

Well I bolted up the stock shock and rocker today I used the gsxr dogbones. I sat on it felt a little soft but It didn't feel much different than it did before I did the swap. I figure its basically no different than stretching the swingarm. I will probably, ah make that definitely use a different shock in the long run.
