didn't mean to go overboard with the pics.i just wanted to show that i wasn't the only one that had thought of this, and that it seemed like a good way to use these shorter frontends and still get the ride height and rake and trail numbers we wanted.

It would be awesome if someone would make extended fork tubes for some of the USD out there. This is the same "gullwing" top clamp idea I had for using them as is from the donor bike. Nice examples here of others that gained a few centimeters without extending fork tubes.

those will help for sure. i feel that i want more though.
I will peruse a sleeve type resolution, and see where that takes me, for now.
i raised the back end 2 3/4" so the rake is now at 22.5*.if i raise the front the same i will be around 26* of rake and have way more ground clearance.
I will start a new thread on rake, and upgrades. I don’t want to distract your thread or Ted’s. please chime in.

that is the website for franks forks.i have heard that he can build new chrome tubes for any fork either longer or shorter.it might be worth a call.i have an old friend that has a kz1000 engined amen framed chopper that has had franks extended tubes in it since 1979 still goin strong.i have known this bike it's entire life.
