Theres another pair of the older rear shocks on ebay. Question I have is changing the connection type on the shocks. The ones on ebay are the read ones from a Suzuki. They use the shackle (U-shaped) attachment on one end which makes me wonder how hard they would be to adapt.

You can get a total rebuild kit for them and any part you need from the manufacture. Which side is the bottom? Reservoir side? If so, I think it is cast into the reservoir. Maybe do a swingarm swap and weld on some mounts to fit.

I think its on backwards, Maybe not, but I have seen the older reservoir shocks with the reservoir on the back side.

I'm wondering the same about a pair of Showa's I picked up. Like the ones in the link, they are off of an early
80's Honda Magna

From what has been discussed, they sound decent, not as good as new stuff, but probably worth rebuilding.
