This is by no means a definitive answer, but I've always kept an eye out for them on auctions and they go for a decent amount of money. I think you can still find NOS rebuild kits, too.
Good luck with the repairs.

I know for a fact they are built for top end mountain bikes....That might be uslessinfo, but in the mountain biking world they are definetly top of the line!

You can find Marzocchi's stock on a lot of motorcycles in the 70's and 80's, mostly Italian. Bikes from 80cc dirt bikes, to flat track racers to street guys have used them. They made/make forks as well and those are still used today. Anyways, the shocks you are displaying are nothing really special by today's standards. The reservoir is not to hold gas, but instead it has an air bladder inside. The thought was to put pressure on the oil to reduce foaming. Very much 70's technology. Do not use an air chuck to add air to the reservoir!! Most guys, including myself, don't even add air. It takes only a few pounds to rupture the air bladder. If you are going to add air, use a low pressure suspension hand pump. I have several sets of them, but I use them only on my old 74 Moto Guzzi cafe racer. They look cool and are Italian, but as far as performance goes....Works blows them out of the water. The shocks that red in color are most likely the Strada model. You can still find parts for them worldwide.

Also as far as quality goes, they are alright....nothing special. A new set of Progressive shocks with the correct springs will be nicer. Marzocchi Strada's suffered from poorly made cast adjusters and would commonly split. My suggestion is if you want a good pair of shocks, call Work's Performance. Tell them what the bike is, how much you weigh and what you will be using the bike for. For around $400 and change they will send you a really great pair of shocks that work very well. The set I've got on the 78 KZ1000 work really well and I can't be happier with them.
Also, if you do pick up a set of Marzocchi's $200-$250 is the standard for a set that is in great shape and freshly rebuilt.
They are still in the motorcycle business providing OE forks to Moto Guzzi and even Ducati.
They do make mountain bike suspension as well.

Thanks for the info. If they are from the 70's then I guess they would be period correct for a 900.

I assumed you were putting them on your bike that got hit in the parking lot and was wishing you good luck in getting said bike back together.
