My KZ550 F1 Spectre still has the factory air suspension forks on the front and while I've got them out of the tree to replace the fork seals, I was considering replacing the headlight bracket ears for something more appealing. I realized as I was looking at them that the headlight bracket may also play a role in holding the air suspension bridge in place, you know the part that has the schraeder valve on one side and an air tube connecting the other fork? The bridge isn't held in place by any screws or detents, just the downward pressure of the headlight bracket.
Has anyone replaced the headlight bracket on a pair of air forks? Should I just keep the stock brackets and hack the reflectors off the sides?
