kz650 with non stock parts?

Hi, I just got a 1977 KZ650B model and I need to identify some non stock parts that are on it.

Someone has added triple disk mag wheels and brakes. It also
has a non stock front air shock.

I want to find out what those parts are from and need to get some tuning data for that air fork.

The fork is black and looks like it is from a GPZ model, it is a Showa fork # K0471 R/L it fits the stock tripple trees
which I believe are 35mm dia. The air fittings do not have a balance pipe.

The wheels are Enkei 7 spoke mags # F-1044 and # R-1043,
front is 19x1.85 and rear is 18x2.15

The disk rotors are drilled with a 3 hole pattern in 10 places and 2 hole pattern in one place.

Any help with a model and year on these parts will make my rebuild much easier.

Sounds like you have C model wheels from the kz650s.
Only 650's with 3 discs and the 19" front, 18" rear combo.
Being drilled, I say from a '79 C3 or '80 C4 if any of the '80s were ever sold there.
Not sure on the forks either.

Here is my 77 650B1 with original rims and forks, the headlight is not stock, nor are the pods. The exhaust on mine are believed to be Jardine. Hope this helps

I can't post pics because the bike is stored 80 miles from my place, but the last time I was there I did confirm the part numbers.

I recieved the bike in boxes so I needed to take an inventory an see what was missing.

The frame is a early 1977 B1 model and the motor is from
80 or 81 because its PN starts with KZ650DE.

The fork is black and has a Showa sticker on it... it has
air caps on the tops and the axle is located on the front of
the lower legs and about 1.5" up from the bottom - I believe that might be 81 GPZ550 because the KZ550 were bare
aluminium.

The wheels are KZ750 or KZ650C model... I have a parts catalouge book for the 78 C models but the numbers don't
match, so they must be later than 78.

That pic of the wheel looks really close but the rotor is drilled slightly different...

The brakes look like 79 C3 or 80 C4 - not sure what the difference would be untill I start rebuilding the calipers.

The rear master looks like it is from a GPZ like the front end... it has a rubber pipe connecting the cup to the piston
body. The front master is triangular shaped - 1980 C4?

I think I wrote the motor number down wrong... 650DE does not look correct, should be BE?
