Hi i have a quick question I have an 82 750 csr compleatly stock that im giving to my daughter for a graduation present she ride the bike fine exept when she stops she is on her tiptoes i have the shocks as far down as they go i need to lower the bike at least 4 inches to make it a good fit id prefer to replace the rear coil overs with another set that are shorter if anyone knows of any that will work or any suggestion will work thanks

Buck, 4 inches is hard to do.you can usually drop an inch by raising ft forks in triple clamp til they just clear bars. I've a set of eye-eye shock bottom spacers which move bottom mount aft@ 3 inches which would make about proper. another inch can be gained by removing seat cover and cutting foam from pan to pad area and re-fitting. This only gives 1/2 of what youre looking for, but would reduce from tip toes to maybe balls of feet. and possibly allow riding over speed bumps and rr tracks w/out duress. harley sporster hugger shocks are only 11.5 " long your stock shocks are probably 13.5 long if i remember right so you could gain about 2 inches there with an inch out of the seat your now at 3" lower plus you can always lower the front by putting pvc spacers under the damper rods thus shortening the front forks with out cutting it is pretty safe to go about 2" that way plus an extra inch by dropping the forks up in the trees your almost there. by the way the spacers in the forks is an old dragrace trick and it works well.

Also helps to wear high heel riding boots (such as western style).

Be mindful of shorter rear shocks so as not to allow rear tire to contact fender when hitting a bump. Will quickly rip out the wiring.

The "lowering kits" that relocate the bottom shock mounts further rearward, result in an extremely harsh ride, akin to struts.

Looking to lower my 82 kz750 e3. Are these Harley shock bushings going to match up to the mounts on the kz, or will they need to be retrofitted somehow?

Vulcan 500 shocks ought to work.
Andy the Gringo has put them on a 550 or 650 or something - direct bolt on.

Mike's XS650 may sell something that'll fit.

The Sportster bushings would have to be swapped.
And the bottom mount has to be grinded down or spread apart.
Also, there's a darn good chance the left shock will rub against the chainguard.
