Rear shocks was created by Lost Californian
Working on the rear brake today, I noticed that the right shock wsa broken. Local dealer gave me sticker shock when he quoted $770 out the door for two OEM shocks. Bike Bandit has them at the same price.

Anyone know where I can find a pair of shocks that fit right, for less than seven hundred bucks??

Thanks!

Olhrity-than :silly: Those are standard KZ shocks. They are Dime-a-dozen on eBay, I have a set that I took off of my 81 CSR when I wen to the GS1100 swingarm. I will take a look tomorrow where I put them and let you know. I believe they are also chrome. They were perfectly good them I took them off.

If your after Brand New maybe Z1Enterprises can help. If your trusting enough to take a chance, E-Bay.
Just remember 1992 was 17yrs. ago whats the chance you'll get a used pair any better than what you already have?
Even if its not year specific which it probably isn't.
Just trying to help !

Several affordable options over at www.mikesxs.com , assuming you're looking for eye to eye shocks that is (not 100% sure what the P's came with).

I'm running the progressive wound 12 3/4" black shroud shocks on my 650 and love them. They are rather stiff on my 650 (but I like them that way), and should be about just right on a 1000.

I run the progressive 14" on my GPz1100. They have raised prices on those over the last year quite a bit. With springs they will run about three bills for the set now. when I bought mine about a year ago they were just over two hundred with the springs. (The springs are extra, they do not come with shocks)

Another really good option is Hagon shocks. I put a pair on my KZ650 a couple years ago and they're great. They are every bit as good as the S&W's I had on it. They come in a bunch of different styles (mine are stainless steel). Dave Quinn (see link) will set yours up specifically for your riding style, weight, etc.

You could probably get a really nice set of progressive gas shocks with springs for maybe $300 ballpark. I think Z1 sells them.
