KZ750 - different models, different seats?

My 1980 KZ750-E1 has a "Saddlemen" seat on it, and it looks terrible. I've seen pics of 750's with similar seats - looks like a wedged version of what should be on there, at least in my opinion. It's almost the same as what a CSR or LTD would have. My brother gave me a seat from his 1981 KZ750, but it did not fit my bike. It was just too short. Are there different seats for different years/models of the KZ750 standards, or is the seat just not correct? I'd post pictures, but my camera is currently defunct.

The short answer is yes. But we could be a lot more helpful if we had visual input :)

Yeah - I reread my post a while after I wrote it and realized how dumb it was to not have a picture. I figured out the problem, though. The 81-82 750's have indentations on the cowl for the seat that are farther forward than the 1980 model's, which explains my brother's short seat. I guess whoever owned the bike before I got it ordered the wrong seat kit and never realized the difference.

Scrap this thread entirely I guess.
