Hey guys,

Anyone out there have any success covering a seat themselves, or know of someone in the Niagara Region (Canada) that does good work?

Thanks, n' cheers.

PS. ALSO... Anybody have a seatpan for an 81 KZ1000 CSR?

Seat pans? Alas, eBay remains your best shot, unless you get lucky :)

Z1E also has some seat covers and foam.
Uncertain if applicable to the bike at hand.

Good Luck! :)

Try Mike's Custom Cycle Seats, 125 White Oak Road in London Ontario - 519-681-6898. Ask for Mike Patrick,he's done lots of seats for us for dragbikes and streetbikes - good work and fair prices.

I did a seat using the complete cover with foam I got from JC Whitney. It turned out well. Last time I just took the seat to a little upholstery shop and they did a great job. Shop around, you can get it pretty cheap.

I did this two ways:

I used material and a sewing machine (which I had to repair first) and it was... well, OK.

Next, I got a Saddleman seat cover and the results were much better... more OEM looking. B)

Considering the cost of parts to repair the sewing machine, the Saddleman solutions was not that much more expensive.

Best of success. :)
