Progressive Suspension Shocks. Cust. service WOW

#293300
This morning, I went outside to do some little maintenance on my bike, and noticed that my left rear shock was leaking. To say the least I went into a rage. the shocks were mounted last year in July when I finished my bike and started riding it. The shocks however were bought the previous August. These are the only shocks that I could find that would fit my bike with the GS1100 swing arm. They have the clevis at the totem and loop at the top. Also they are the exact length of 14", to keep the rear end up where it should be. All of the other shocks are much too short and rely affect the handling of the bike. I sent progressive an immediate email letting them know my "Disgust" I was not nasty but to the point and 100% honest. This was at 0835CST this morning. I had a response by 0919CST (0719PST since they are in California)with a simple response.

"Sorry to hear about the failure, is this a good shipping address? I don’t see a problem with sending out a replacement pair of dampers if you can e mail or fax me a copy of your sale recite for these shocks?

Thank you.

To say the least I was presently surprised, due to the fact that they could have just as sealy said, "Sorry too far out of warranty". This just showed me that we still have good and reputable Companies here in the US. I just want to say Thank You Progressive Suspensions for standing behind your product. These are the #12-1205B shocks which fit perfectly on the old "KZ/GPz to GS100 swingarm modification".

Thank you

This is why I had to post this thread. I believe that if the internet can destroy a company as measly as a simple key stroke on the key board. It should also be used to show the positive. In this economy any business can use all the help it can get.

PS: I forgot to mention that their shocks are some of the most reasonably priced I have seen.

I was going to ask how you found those. I have been looking for about 30 minutes and haven't found them yet. How much were they? Also what series on the site are they listed under?

As I mentioned, their web sight leaves a bit to be desired. These are a series "12" You have to go to the Literature section on the web sight and than go to specifications here is the link.
www.progressivesuspension.com/pdfs/7100-105.pdf

The Shocks were bought threw BikeBandit.com They are 12-1205B the springs are 03-1368B/C (105/150 rate) you will have to pick the springs to suite the weight of the bike. They were $130 when I bought them thy are $180 now minus your AMA Discount. The springs were $46 when I bought them. If you ride a Cruiser, you can use the 12-1204B which are One inch shorter.

Fantastic! I just had an issue with a Trailtech Vapor speedometer. I traded a few troubleshooting emails with them and they sent me a new one. They are made in the U.S.A.
