Fork Cap Seized in place 1981 KZ550 D1(GPZ)

1981 KZ550 D1(GPZ) 36mm Air pressurized forks. One of my fork caps seems to be seized to the fork wall. I've removed the spring clip and given them a good wallup with a hammer and socket for a couple minutes. I have also soaked the cap with Penetrating spray. Has anyone else ever encountered this. your doing the right things sometimes that top rubber cap leaks a bit and they the caps will corrode in place so just keep working at it.

My bike has the screw-in type of fork caps. They were frozen: after applying some heat w a propane torch, they came right out.

Thanks guy. The second night of PB did the trick. After a couple more minutes of pounding the cap freed itself and shot half way across my buddies yard.

oh yah i guess i should have warned you about that slight possibility. sorry no body lost an eye i hope.
