modified foot peg for vance and hines 4 to 1

I recently bought a vance and hines 4 to 1 exhaust for my 77 kz1000 ltd. Come to find out when you put the pipe on there is no room for the foot peg and brake. Does anyone know where to find a aftermaket foot peg set up for this type of exhaust?

I assume you purchased a V&H Sidewinder? If so, then there are a number of fellows here who had to modify both brake pedal and foot peg. One will surely chime in soon.

get some aluminum plate and bar you need to relocate the right side and make it 2" longer. lathe makes it easier to knurl and drill out. the plate is triangular with 3 holes for relocation.

next is the brake lever- torch heat until cherry red hot and zig zag bend it to get it out around the pipe.

it is custom work here and I'd say high school shop level of difficulty

everybody keeps sayingthat but i never see footpegs or brakes listed anyplace

Has anyone haerd of pro stock pegs? Someone told me they will clear the pipe, but there $90 so...?

flip flop and reverse your stock pegs(flipping the folding part)and do the brake mod.
