original equipment mirrors

I am searching for original equipment or O E replacement mirrors for my KZ. whats a good source? Friend told me to take these stems and cases into glass shop for mirror replacement,can they do that? Have ordered mirrors twice both times sent back, 1st. time they were oval but right 10mm & thread,2nd right round but 8mm stem and thread. My stems and cases are in good shape but mirrors are loseing their guilt in the centers. These i have are 10mm right hand thread, short stem, 4 1/4 mirror&headcase, any and all help welcome.

If it's just the silvering failing, but the glass and everything else is ok, you can have the mirrors re-silvered. Just find a mirror shop (home not auto) in your area. I had a large mirror done years ago and it wasn't very expensive. Ed
