Fork Tubes Exhaust

Fork Tubes

Bought my old KZ1000E that had been twisted badly in a wreck some years ago. Friend bought another frame tank and other parts. Before he ended up with it my son and I "Straightened" the bent forks. Turns out enough that the friend didn't straighten them. Because there's enough tweak in them, the triple trees can't be aligned with the front wheel, so the bike rides straight with some "Left" in the bars. Good source for fork tubes? Have a set from a 650, but they're not big enough.

The bike still has the Mac pipe I put on it years ago. Survived the wreck with some scraping. I'd like to put a 4 into 2 system back on the bike, as it's back to stock configuration. Any recommended suppliers? Haven't checked my Dennis Kirk or J&P catalogs closely, but last I looked they cater to much newer bikes.

Also, ebbaayy of course.
Are those leading axle forks?
I would guess that the bike came stock w the center axle type.

Shaft fork tubes are a larger diameter than the other KZ lines and were only seen for two years (1979/1980). Watch eBay, sad to say...or possibly check wrecking yards, if you are near a metropolitan area.

The shaft bikes came with the leading axle forks. Not sure if the tubes are different. There is a guy on ebay parting a complete shaft bike right now. Can't remember his handle but he is on there.
