I have an 82 KZ750 Spectre that is shaft driven. The good news is that I got new tires. My friend and I installed them. The bad news is that now when I have it on the center stand with the rear tire in the air I have a sort of strange rubber grinding sound. It isn't like metal grinding it sounds like rubber. There is nothing touching the tire. When I ride the bike it turns in to a pretty loud squeaking sound. We didn't remove the wheen bearings so we didn't pack them. Any ideas on what this could be?

Jason, many shaft drive bikes have a plastic sheild which seals final drive to rear hub. thats where I'd start the search. luck G

Did you end up with an extra part? Possibly the drive spacer? It's a tube about three inches long an 1 1/8 in diameter?
