I am looking to lower the front of my kz750. I know I will be sliding the fork tubes up through the triple tree so I have been looking into bar options. I want a cafe racer style.
I thought about clip ons, but they are very pricey. I have a couple of designs in mind for blocks that move the bars forward of the risers, or custom bars that extend from between the risers so that they do not stick out the sides.
Anyone seen any interesting ways to get around the fork tubes hitting the bars? Thanks in advance!

Yea, I had similar thoughts when I lowered my front end. I toyed with the idea of using some spacers like these to raise a set of drag bars;

Ended up putting a shorter front end on from another model so didn’t go this route.

I purchased a set of clubman cafe bars for my 650, love them! They gave me a cafe riding stans, the wind blows into my forhead and over not taking my head off at the neck. Only thing I had to do is adjust my clutch. Seams like they cost about 40.00$ out the door. Also I didnt move my forks clubman bars clear just fine if your truly looking for cafe style ridding.

Thanks for the ideas. I ended up finding these 1" up and 1 3/8" back risers. www.1tail.com/sa/p/Universal_Risers_7_8_...1_-up_1_3_8_back.htm

I think if I turned them around and pushed the bar forward, it will achieve what I am looking for. Too bad they are $110! :ohmy:
I like the clubman bars, but really have to get this thing down lower in the front first. I dropped it 3 inches in the back with hard tail struts and now the front is kicked up and looks goofy.

I installed a set of T bars on my '85 Virago which might work for you.Very comfy with a nice rise.
