look at this,180 tire stock cover,how?

Was looking through gallery and reading. How did this guy roll a 180 tire with the stock cover?

i don't think it's a 180 it looks like it might be a 150 or 160 tire at best.

The guy says its a 180 in the gallery posts,don't know how truthful he is. Looks sweet.

Sometimes you can cut away the inside of the cover to get more room. Some have even cut the cover from the back until the chain clears. I have seen a few where they had to really butcher it to make it work and have seen a few that the cut was done well enough that although you can tell the guy cut it, it still looks good. It can be done but to what extent you will have to cut is a trial and error thing. Have a spare you can practice on? Oh...the owner of that bike is a guy from California "Dnyce". He did a topic on it somewhere but I have no idea where. That is a 180 on the back!

on my z1r with a 3/8'ths offest countersprocket and a 520 chain i had to trim the lip on the inside and remove the sound deadener.if you went with much more than 3/8 ths offset i believe that it would have to have some visible(from the outside)notches.that is rolling a 200 previously and a 190 now.
here is a dirty picture with the 200,can't even see the notches :laugh: .
