I have checked most of the vendors I can find and even emailed cyclebrakes. I am having no luck finding a rebuild kit or even a cap for my rear MC. Has anyone found a source for these parts?

The Kawasaki parts diagrams show most items as "Cancelled" which isn't a good sign. Perhaps the folks at Z1 Enterprises can assist.

I have talked to Jeff about this... this is one of the parts (at least for my 1977 650c1) that he could now get. There are just no kits. Now he did say that pieces from various kits could be put together to get you most of the way there but the big problem is the piston seal.

You would have to use the original piston (worn as it may be) then pry (or cut) off the old rubber seal, then carefully force the seal off another piston (ment for some model's front MC) then use it to replace the seal for yours.

Basically it seamed to me that I would need to purchase at least 2 kits, then mix and match parts and hope I could get that seal off of the new piston(the piston is for a completely different MC it just uses the same size rubber seal) and on to the old piston.

Too expensive and too much risk of failure for me... I just seriously cleaned the old unit and I will use it till a modern unit can be fitted.

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

Thats what I kind of figured, thanks for letting me know so I didn't have to go through the whole process.

I think I can clean it up well enough, the bore is not pitted, just rusted. I would like to find a new cap and seal, but the PO may have it in a box of parts, he is trying to sort out what parts went with what bike.

I saw on here someone found a blue replacement cap for theirs, anyone know where to find one of those?
