hey all,

I did a search but I did not find any definitive answer so I am wondering if y'all can help me out.

I have a 1976 kz900 with spoked wheels. A friend parted out his kz1000 LTD (not sure of year) and all he has left is the front end with mag lester style rim which he offered to me. What I want to know is:

Can I use the LTD's dual disc brake setup on my stock spoke kz900 wheel and forks?

or

Will the LTD front end slide into the triple clamps of my kz900?

What should I look at when evaluating the LTD front end? Really I am just after it because my kz900's single caliper is nasty and his brakes are freshly rebuilt. I want to keep my spoke rim because I just mounted a new tire to it and really don't feel like taking it off again.

it should be just about a straight bolt in but in case it's not i could really use a front lester mag for my own hotrod it should fit easy as long as you use a master cylinder for a dual disc setup.

Im 99.9 pecent sure it will be fine. I just did the same thing on my 74 z1, i put tripple disk mags from a 79 ltd 1000 be. The front wheel bolted up to my z1 forks fine, and i swapped swingarms for the ltd 1000 one. Complete bolt on application. Here are some pics.
