zx7 swap?

I couldn't find a gs 1100e swingarm, but I did find a complete front and rear off a 93 zx7.That includes swingarm
rims and tires, calipers, rotors etc for 400.I was wondering if the swap would be worth it on my kz 900,like how much of a headache will the swingarm be etc. Also he had some beautiful chrome rims 17" 300 bucks but I believe the rear was like a 5.5"-6.0",is that too big?the zx7 had a 4.5"x17"
with good rubber front and back.Anyway any opinions would be great thanks.

$400 is a extremely good price for both front & rear full setups including brakes....

I have a ZX6R swingarm with a 5.5" rim w/180mm rear tire on my KZ900 and it fits fine. 1/2" offset counter sprocket.

Speaking of the cc sprocket, you don't want to go longer than that if you can help it or your chain will hit the frame tube.

Before buying a cc sprocket, you first must go through the conversion process so you know which cc sprocket offset you'll require.

As for "how much of a headache"... This is what some of us do for fun.... .... Can it be frustrating, oh by all means... But that's the beauty of it, being able to make it work (SAFELY mind you) and also be something where others will walk up and go WTF, that's whacked, totally insane, how'd you do that etc....

Follow the link to my rear conversion tutorial with images, will give you an idea of what you'll be facing...

Also look up Mark1122 project posting, he provided numerous ideas and tips in his conversion...

I think it's a good price for the parts. I have a 92 ZX7 front on my bike and it wasn't a big dwal.

thanks for the response. Also I like the chrome rims he has but I think they are 5.5" How small of a tire can I put on that I was hoping to stick around the 170 range.I didnt know how much more work is involved with the bigger size rim.
