Theres a his & hers hideous seat on my newly acquired MKII. Can I just buy a cover, reshape/make the foam, and use that pan? Or is it different and I need a new seat alotgether?

Oh and that fairing and bags are coming off asap. How much do you think they're worth? Should I sell them as a set or seperately?

t-dub when did you pick that up. it looks as ugly as my first thousand did but less then 3 hours later i had it all stripped off and loaded into a guy's truck for the grand total of 350.00 so i got my first 1000 for a grand total of 50.00. just use the pan and any competent upholstery shop can modify and shape the seat however you want plus recover it for a reasonable price. i can already see a bike similar to 79mk11's bike under all that plastic and junk.i have two seats that i got done up like a corbin only a bit longer so icould slide back a bit more when i was launching the thing they both only cost me about 200 for both but that was a few years ago. good score how much did you get it for and where did you get it.

It's back home in NL, I put a deposit on it today, so I can pick it up in three weeks when I get back. Thats good about the pan, I figured I'd be able to just use that. I picked it up for $1700, I figure its well worth it. Gonna have to put off doing the 810 to the 650 for a while, but oh well, had to jump on this.

She sure is ugly now but I think with some engine cleaner, a little chrome polish, a re-covered seat, all that junk taken off, and some wax on that paint and she'll be good as new. Probably some oury road grips and some brake pads which I already have on the shelf back home, if the 650 ones will fit. My plan is to keep her bone stock and keep the 650 for modding.

that is a good thought but you should take a trip over to clarinville this summer and take a little 1/4 mile trip or two and it might just change your mind.

Haha yeah thats true, maybe I'll dart out with a few of the lads, I got a few buddies who run cars out there. The 650's getting done the way I want before the MKII gets any mods in any case.

Nice score on the mk2. It would be nice to see some high res. pics of it once you have the fairing and bags off it.

Yep, once I get back home and pick her up I'm going to tear them off and spend a day polishing and cleaning. Then I'll take some nice hi-res pics in the sun with some of that nice Newfoundland scenery behind her.

Great score on the MKII! I had one of those seats on my recently acquired Z2A and within 5 minutes of being in the garage, I had the seat in the trashpile. :)
