'81 KZ1000 LTD - Rear Wheel Switch w/ '83 KZ1000P? was created by ninety8problems
I wanted to switch out my stock rear wheel from my 1981 KZ1000 LTD with a 19" rear wheel from a 1983 KZ1000 Police bike in order to have "matching" front and rear wheels.

Can someone tell me if this should be an easy switch or if it's not possible?

I got the cart in front of the horse on this one...I have already ordered the wheel. Hope it will work.

I'm sure you can make it fit but the KZ1000P rear wheel is an 18".

mumbles, thanks for the reply.

Actually, it's a 19" rear wheel from a 1984 KZ1000P. At this point, I just want to make sure if the axle diameter is the same for the rear for both years.
