It's not the style. It's the comfort. How they force you to kink your wrist. How they force you to sit bolt upright(or worse back a little on your tailbone). Both these things get pretty uncomfortable pretty quick. As for style they look fine. Your experience may be different. Hope so! ;)

Now when going to bar end mirrors, what do you do with the ugly holes that are left from the original mirrors??

the ugly holes that are left behind i always use a stainless allen head bolt to fill them up and i definitly like the superbike bar the best. except for on my drag bikes one i have a narrow drag bar but i don't have a lot of steering lock so i can get away with it on that bike and the other has a chromemoly pro stock bend as i tend to like to situp straight on the bike when launching it and these bars force me to do that.those bars are about 2 inches forward.

I am considering a set of Honda ST1100 style Flanders bars on my LTD. They are nice and work well on my '74 CB750. I really like the thickness and finish of the Flanders bars.

Here is a link to their web site where you can get specs and look at pictures of various options.

They list the rise, pullback, etc.

You can find them cheaper at Dennis Kirk, Amazon and other locations after you find what you want.

My drag bars measure 29" straight across. I should have no trouble backing out of the shop with the bar ends.

I don't like the look of bar ends but the drag bike would look funny with banana bars.

I have used several style bars on my KZ including the Superbike bars. But my vote goes to the Daytona style bars.

cheapest interim option is just flipping the clubmans over. i still run the bars on my suzi like that...they're at a nice angle and more upright for everyday comfortable riding.

I went with a set of the drag bars with a set of 40mm risers. they had the same angle as the clipon I wanted to use and they don't hit my tank. Plus I just installed a set of the bar end mirrors...still a work in progress

gn freak,
I put straight bars on my bike, got new mirrors, still can't see anything but my arms. What did you use to make the extentions, can I see a pic?
