Tanks that will fit an 83 KZ 1100LTD????

I am having a hard time finding an 83 KZ 1100 tank and was wondering what other tanks fit well on the bike. Any different models that are compatible? Other brands? Tanks off of yamaha xs 1000s? Looking for ideas, thanks.

P.S. also going to be replacing all the lines for fuel to the carbs and such....are those 1/4 inch lines?? I just ordered a service manual...so until then i am relying on u guys...thanks!!

I wish I knew. My suggestion is to visit a good salvage yard and see if they can help. Maybe they would let you try some different tanks.

I remember a thread where the "ears" were cut off the tank and welded onto another model tank to make it fit.

How about a tank off of a 1100 Spectre?
I put a tank from a 83 KZ1100A3 on my spectre and all i had to do was work on the seat a little. So maybe it will work the other way too.

ebay has one for sale right now bought 5 hours left.
