Is it possible to take a stock 1979 kz1000 mkII wheel and make it tubeless?

It has two rim locks

you can't make it tubeless but you can get rid of the rim locks no problem. i do it all the time tube type rims do not have a tire retension bead on the inside of the rim so if they lose air pressure they will pull of the bead. so you will still have to use the tube

Here's an earlier thread posting courtesy of H2RICK

Re:Do I need the rim locks?
If you have a wrecker's yard close by, go and search through their wheel racks for wheels with little push-in plugs in the rim lock holes. There are various mags made that were drilled for rim locks but the factory never installed the locks for whatever reason. Instead, they inserted these nifty little rubber plugs in the hole(s).

Good Luck! :)

thanks guys. those damn rim locks as some know, cause a huge pain in the ass when changing a tube or tire. they have caused me to pop a bunch of tubes during instalation.
