KZ750/4 LTD forks vs. KZ1000 forks was created by tachrev
Will 1982 KZ750 LTD forks slide in place of my 1977 KZ1000 forks?

I know the tube diameter is the same, but is the tube spacing the same?

I want to put the entire front assembly(wheel/tires/brakes) from the 750 on my 1000 using my triple clamps, and put the 1000 setup on the 750 the same way.

Well, I couldn't decide if I wanted to pull my bike back apart to do the swap, and the other guy found another parts doner.

Worked for the best.

However, I decided to update the thread with the little info I found on my own, for future searches.

I am always finding thread that look like they might help with no resolution!

82 LTD750/4 15mm front axle, 20mm rear, 36mm fork tubes

Fork brace for this model has a 190mm center to center.

1977 KZ1000 A1 17mm front axle, 20mm rear, 36mm fork tubes

Fork brace for this model has a 185mm center to center.

That's all I found, may help someone later.
