1975 Z900 Frame Dimensions was created by joemar
I have bought a 1975 Z900 that needs rebuilding. Sadly it has had a hard front end crunch and the frame is bent around the steering head area.
In my country there is nobody who has a jig to help me starighten it out.
Does anyone have any dimesions I could use to either build a jig or if that is not possible, I could use a drawing of what the dimesnions should be between key locations on the frame.
thanks.

sounds like you need one of these.
what country are you in?
we have to establish a point of reference, such as swing arm pivots to bottom of neck or something.don't know of any blueprints or actual measurements.they will have to be taken from an existing frame.we have plent of members here to help.got any pics ?that would help .
and welcome to z-madness.

Leon,
many thanks for your reply. I am in Dubai - United Arab Emirates. My Z900 B is an Amercian spec bike, and you have hit the nail on the head with you photos. I need something like that, but less elaborate. If we can get critical dimensions then that will be good enough.
If i have not goofed up with my link, you should be able to see the bike if you click on...... www.ridesafely.com/inventory.asp?InventoryID=811142425

ah,so that is the bike?it may not be as bad as what you might expect.as far as i know you will need to pull the engine out, then it would make pulling a string from the swingarm pivot bolt holes to the bottom of the neck easier.i have a 1976 900 frame at home that i can get the dimensions off of for you.i have the engine out already.
do you plan to restore or modify the bike?i have seen some pretty smashed up front ends that had not bent the frame, but the old 900 frames are the weekest of the whole line.they say some of them weren't even truely straight from the factory.when will you have the bike in your possesion?
we have more than enough info and intelligence here to help you on this.
