I'm not sure what you mean by sluggin your fork tubes, but in my case I added some spacers on top of the springs to stiffen up the front end.
My bike's got aftermarket springs though, and I thought they did not have enough pressure on them from the top caps, because when I removed the top caps, the springs barely came out of the forks, making putting the caps back on a breeze.
I did want to stiffen the front up as well because over multiple bumps in a row, the front end seem too soft.
Heavier weight fork oil will help as well.
I added spacers that were almost an inch in height. I tried adding two to each fork, but could not get the caps back on.
This seemed to help in the end.

I've heard of guy's putting slugs in their fork tubes. I hear that it stiffins up the ride. What I mean by slugs is pretty much the same thing as a bunch of washers piled up. I've seen at hardware stores in the nuts and bolt ilse are the spacers that you can buy in numerous lengths and various widths. Same as the pile of washers, these are just a solid one piece item. Beside the hole going thru the length of the center.

Also if I cut the fork springs a couple three inches. How would this affect the ride and how much would this lower the front? Is this a possible means of lowering the front of the bike even lower if you have the fork tubes up thru the triple tree's?

Here's what I used for spacers. Had them laying around the shop:
.

Not sure about cutting 3 inches off the springs. It would lower her, but what kind of road clearance issues would you run into, not to mention handling issues.
You'll want to lower the back end a similar amount to the front.

Yeah, absolutely road clearance would be an issue. Cant have the ol girl draggin her belly. :) What about cutting the springs and doubling the size of washer or spacer to accomidate the missing part of spring? I'm just curious. Thanks

Doing that will stiffen things up, but you have to watch how much you cut or you could run into problems bottoming out the forks/binding the springs.

Check this out, I think it describes exactly what you are trying to do.

Thanks man, yeah I'm just curiou on what I can get away with and not jeapodize the stability and safety of the bike. I've been looking to buy a bike and wanted something done up and ready to ride. I think I might have found something but isn't lowered the way I want it to be. And it wouldn't take much to drop it to the ground. I 'm going to run an x-pipe style exhaust on the bike. With these pipes, you get a crazy amount of ground clearance and plus they sound bad ass. Kinda like a four bangin stock car with a open header.

years ago that was how they lengthend fork tubes was by slugging them they would make extentions that threaded in to the top of the fork tube not the safest way of doing things and the product liability laws were more leninent back the [late 60's early 70's chopper stuff.]

May be irrevelent, but on some models there were rebound springs below lower dampers. adding spacers to these, lowered forks while retaining origional compression/rebound rates. and mount heights. flooring simply dropped front end, good for 1/4 mile, but like side winder exhausts made street handling impractable.
