Steering stem interchangability?!?!

Okay, need to find this out.

What other KZ's had identical stems to a 79 KZ650? Some of the 750's perhaps?

I need to track down a lower triple to press the stem out of so I can press it into the from forks I've got and mount it all to the frame.

I uploaded a Kawasaki steering stem bearings list a while back, here are a couple of links to it:

Note that the list will only show which bikes share the same stem diameter, the length of the stems may vary.

I have both a 650 and a 750B steering stem with lower clamp, I'm on my way out the door right now but I'll try to get time to measure the length later. It would be easier for me if you would measure the length of the neck on the 650 though, it's easier for me to measure the neck on a 750B frame than to dig out the steering stems

The neck on the 650 is 7.5" long.

1981 kz750E is the same
And diameter of the shaft is aprox 1-1/8 wide.

I measured my parts bike steering head from lip to lip with the tripples out/ no bearings

So it sounds like any 650 and any 750 should work out.
