KZ750 Swing Arm Bearings 2 or 4? was created by MichaelO
Hello all,

I'm working on a recently acquired KZ750E1. The swing arm bearings were corroded and frozen. The sleeve has corrosion damage as well.

I've noticed in looking at the microfiche that the 1980 has four bearings whereas the '81-'82 has only two, plus seals (I'm not referring to the umbrella seals at the end, which they both have). I'll try to attach an image. We'll see how that goes.

The bearing part numbers appear to be the same so, I can probably go with either solution. I'm wondering what would be better? Any opinions or experiences?

Also, the microfiche shows a grease zerk on the 1980. Mine lacks this zerk but, I could add it. I doubt the zerk would work out with the seals; it would probably just blow them out. I wonder if it would work at all, as the clearances seem pretty tight. Any thoughts on that?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
Michael O'
