i don't know which if any are specific to an 80 1000st...my story is...i wanted one of the black closure looking/plunger? types that were ran on z-1's and h-2's and stuff back in the day.... and kept getting outbid on em...there is one allways on ebay reproduction new for65-85.00.. but iwanted a deal..finaly i bid and won a weathered one for 35 (cleaned and repainted nice)and when i got it i then realized my kz900 will need a mounting tab welded on the frame and a hole drilled in the lower triple tree or a aluminum after market fork tube /damper holder....i bet this will be the case for you too ... as your frame/forks set up is really the same as mine.....you can find em used on e-bay if you look around alot and get one for 15-40 if you wait and don't go crazy....this is all an educated guess and not meant as pure fact...good luck...craig
