Need some engine mount bolts was created by jzanutto
someone in the past has lost the 2 front engine mount bolts on my 78 650B and replaced them with all-thread.
does anyone have some bolts/nuts they can get rid of?
its the really long ones that go all the way across the frame mount in the front of the engine

now I'm confused, I looked at the Kawasaki parts fiche for that year bike, and it doesnt show any single long bolt going across the frame to hold the engine in the front, or on the bottom, the fiche shows some short 47mm bolts that have the head pointing from the inside outwards. So what is it supposed to be?

If i would have to guess, i would say the bike had case gaurds mounted at one time or another. I know my 77b1 had case gaurds and the long bolt you are reffering to when i bought mine a couple years ago. Hope this helps, Jim

Another option instead of all-thread is to obtain a correct size plain steel rod from the local hardware store, cut it to the desired length, cut threads on the ends as desired, and fit nuts on both ends.
Good Luck!

They didn't use a long bolt there. They used 2 bolts, each one placed from the center of the engine with the threaded part outward. They used a 10x46 on one side, and a 10x72 on the other. I got bolts at a decent hardware store years ago, but you wont find exact, they come in 5mm length increments generally. Kawasaki part # 92001-1049 and 92001-1050.

I'm pretty sure the folks at Redline have them as I think I asked about them 6 months back & they carried it....I happen to be missing a front lower right that, um, disappeared in my last tear-down.
Give them a shout - they're pretty knowledgeable.
