That's a good question, and I'm curious too. Check your PM!

Depends on the bushing for the shock mount. I have Yamaha shocks on my 650 that fit for length and bolt size. I just had to switch out some of the bottom bushing/spacers.

I just received today and couldn't replace!!due to the spacer/bushings are just very tiny difference; 750 is larger then 1100's also 750 is Showa shocks, KYB for 1100, and I might be able to fit them in w/out switch all or part of bushings by remove the old shocks and have helper sits on the bike to lower and replace them!! or any sugession? thanks

yes, confirmed Spectre750 shocks can be switched to 1100!!
got that done last night in 30 mins, took both of old one off, let the rear wheel freely up and down and mount the 750 shocks on (Showa shocks not KYB)by align the eyelets, wroking on one side then another.

The spring rates in the shocks will likely be a bit different. I don't much care for air shocks. Everybody loves the idea of riding on air as it conjures up visions of a cushy ride but in real life, air doesn't dampen well as it doesn't have much compression. In other words, if you bump the air pressure up some, the bike will ride harshly. I have had air shocks on a number of bikes and this always seems to be the case. I prefer oil dampened shocks with fairly high spring rates. About the best I have used are Progressive 440s. Progressive 12s work well on a KZ. Last, if you are a bike nut, contact Progressive customer support and buy a bag of bushings that will allow you to adapt most any eye-to-eye shock to your KZ... They include a bushing kit with most all the shocks they sell and you can buy this kit separately and it is a lot easier than trying to fab your own bushings as many are very thin and trying to sand plastic or even metal is tough to get them to fit; easier to use the correct sized bushing.
