Stock one a non O-ring and the new one an O-ring chain maybe? I had an O-ring 630 on mine with no clearance issues. I'm sure some others will chime in.

First, please update your profile for which bike your speaking of or mention in your questions... ;)

Since 630 chain most probably 900-1000...

O-ring 92 link chain is the norm, should be no problems....
Of course we have to assume your bike is OEM swing-arm, counter and rear sprockets.

First, is it Diamond, 60 size industial chain??? With split collars? I tried it once in 1979, thaught I scored a freebie from work. Till a hole shot cracked my sprocket cover and bent the push rod for the clutch. Luckily I was on my own street.

Or is it heavy duty, high perf. chain?

Tsubuki, RK, EK, SK, U-ok? I'm ok?

im not sure the manufacturer it doesnt say on the box. but i have stock gearing. the roller width is as i said about 1/16th to 1/8 wider than the original, and the sprocket. idk if it will walk back and fourth while riding or if it will be ok to have a bit of space.

Any new ideas on this? really could use the info. i have been runing the chain a bit, but i havent gotten in on the highway for a long ride. the chain works and everything, its an 0-ring chain. but if you grab the chain you can slide it back and fourth on the sprocket a little less than an 8th inch. the chain is for a motorcycle. but i dont have a manufacturer on it.

It shouldn't go anywhere, although it might wear quicker. If I were you I'd convert the whole setup to a modern 530 o-ring chain.

Look on the links. They should each be marked with the brand. Ed
