drilling handlebar control switch hole

On stock Z1 handlebars,how far from the end do you drill the hole for the control switch from spinning??
So if someone has a z1 handle bar lying around can you please measure for me

Never actually measured one but I always drill the hole on the throttle tube side ....leaving about 1/8" end play for the grip. Just line up and check your topside preferred level.

as i like to experiment with different bars and positions, i went the easier option of removing the locating tab.

me too it's the first thing i remove..and i tighten really good after....the only thing that can rotate it is a strong wrist or a crash ..in which case all of my handle bar stuff is loose enough to rotate before snapping...not the answer i know...but confer with IMAGE....
