Sprocket Sizing and Speed was created by Facility Guru
I have a question that I'm sure you guys can help a newbie with!

I was told that I can 'drop-a-tooth' on my front chain sprocket to gain some higher end speed.

Right now I top-out at 70 with around 6000 RPMs.

Where would I be able to find such a bike-specific part?

AND how hard is this to do?

Thanks for all the help so far!

You state that you "top out at 70 with around 6000 RPMs." Are you saying that your bike won't pull more than 6000 RPMs in high gear? If that's the case, you may have other problems that gearing will not improve. Ed

Get a smaller back sprocket and check your front to make sure it's a 15 tooth. Someone has put different sprockets on for quicker take off response. Go with a 15 tooth up front and a 32 tooth in the rear. That will help.
