getting front rotors off??? was created by trianglelaguna
i bought a dual disk and all the hardware to go dual on my 76900..i want to put the disks off a front mag 76 on my spoke 76 ..yet when i tried removing the rotor bolts on a lester mag that came on the bike,, i believe it seemed i was about to snap the bolt i really was pulling hard to budge it,it felt like it had a back nut on it ,it felt like it was cross threading out and did not go back in ,when i gave up loosening, easy or nice either...now i wanna take off a new drilled l.t.d set and put em on my spoker...any tips before i start stripping somthing tomorrow..and yes i soaked the last one with penetrating oil..and still screwed it..never swapped em before ,,just swapped rims instead,,,thanks and peace ..craig

it is probably red loctited in place take a propane torch and heat up the hub around the bolt and it should melt the loctite and you should be able to take it out fairly easy. just take your time. by the way what are you going to do with the lester rim when you do the swap.

o.k i'll try the torch and that should help and i'll use the lock tight on the re-install when i get there..thanks guys//i kinda was gonna keep the lesters they came on it ..single disk front 19..drum back 18..i thought i might keep another disk on the front and have a spare set of tires with the mag option..for the 900..the duals now are on a stock l.t.d front mag 19 that i don't wanna keep and i have the whole ltd mag 16 rear end to match (see my parts add)

it was worth a try i have a 18 lester on the back of my 900 but i had to use a ltd mag on the front.[i thought because iwas such an enormas help or hinderance you might take pity on me but such is life] just take your time and it should come out alright.
