1999 600 GSXR front end onto a 650

I currently have a line on a full 1999 600 gsxr front end, everything but the axle... for $250.

Has anyone done this swap? This won't give me the USD forks, but I will get some nice fat rotors and a light weight rim....

What do you guys think? Is it worth it or should I wait until a newer bike is parted and try to get some USD forks?

input needed befor I squeeze the trigger.

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

While USD forks look cool, I don't see where they have any advantage on the street.

Well I figure 1999 suspension will offer me a 22 year update over the stock kit on the 650 so I went ahead and agreed to it, all that is left is getting him the cash and the parts to my storage unit.

I am hopping that I can get away with just a bearing swap, but I am willing to press out the stearing necks if needed...

This will be the never ending project bike... in the last 3 weeks it has gone from just get it titled to get it titled and get a tracy body on it (need to fab a seat pan) and now put a gxsr front clip in it.....
