Drum brake assy. swap?

I currently have a 16"mag rear wheel (drum) on my '80 kz750. Am looking to swap a 16" spoke rear from an '82 kz750. Is the drum brake assy. interchangeable? Most eBay sellers separate the wheel and drum brake before selling.
