81 KZ1000LTD front fork fit to 77 KZ1000?

May I ask someone here that will a pair front forks from 81 KZ1000LTD fit to 77 KZ1000? just bolt on?

81 has 38mm tubes, while 77 has 36mm tubes, so if you are talking about fitting the 81 tubes into the 77 clamps, then no.

Don't know if you could slide the 77 steering post out of the neck and slide the 81 back in though. That will require an answer from someone else.
