That bike looks exactly like the 1982 kz550 I used to own. Same paint and all. Had a blast with that one.

current bike:
1982 GPZ-750
past bikes:
1978 Z1-R
1982 KZ-550, 615 kit, cams, head-work
1978 GS-1000 drag bike (younger days fun)

it is a kz 550!!! and they are soooooo much fun.
I am 6'7" and when i had mine i weighed 225 it had a pipe and superbike bars and that was it.
I could wind that thing up and throw it around like it was a dirt bike.the thing never broke,i had 0 problems with it and could get squirly without scaring myself to bad.
Your choice but i thnk you will learn more quicker by riding that bike fast than on a big bike.
GOOD TIRES will be important!!!! i ran 36 p.si front and 38 rear but i'm big..peace craig..p.s i rode it up hill all the time in lake tahoe with no problems...
