Anyone have a wider rim they want to get rid of?

I'm putting on a gs swingarm this winter and want to go with a wider spke rim. Maybe a 3.5 or 4 inch whatever fits in the arm. I remember putting a wider motocross rim on my 75 back in 93. Now I'm trying to save the time of looking for one. :laugh:


You can kinda see the rim in this pic. It had the little spikes on the inside of the rim that would grip the tire. Good for the low psi runs at the track. :ohmy:

might check ebay for supermoto rims.need to know how many holes for spokes.

bucanans wheel service out of cali has just what you need,8 gauge stainless spokes a nice brand new 4.25 rim send them your hub wait a week and you get a nice wheel at a good price.

It is a 40 spoke 16 inch.

Dang those are a little spendy. I think I'll start combing the wrecking yards. The last one I found for $15.

good luck hunting you guy's have a few more options for goodies down south than we do up here in the deep freeze. i have used those guy's before and was really impressed with their turn around and the quality of workmanship that is the only reason i recomended them.

I like the rims they have they are just out of my price range for now. I'm using the gs arm my kid got me but it will be on my daily rider so it won't have to be too pretty. I'm also thinking about powder coating them black anyway. On my 78 I'll be spending who knows how much and price won't be an issue. I am keeping with the spoked wheels on that one but they will have to be REALLY pretty.
