Looking to put Dual disc on my 77 KZ1000-A1. Looks like the 77 LTD1000 Calipers have the same Part # as the 79 KZ650 Custom and LTD 1000 Calipers. I'm guessing these would be a direct fit, is this correct? But the 79 KZ650 SR Calipers have a different Part #, Whats the difference and would these be a direct fit to my 77 KZ1000.

I'm not positive, but it could be the mounts are different.
I remember when John was looking for forks for his '80 650.
Seems the lower fork legs were different over the years for the 650. The caliper mounts are at different heights on the forks, so maybe the calipers are a different shape in the mounting area as well.

I believe the reason the caliper mounts on the fork lowers are at different heights is because the diameter of the brake rotor varied on different models and different years.

Yup, The fleabay forks I got were designed for dual "smaller" rotors as opposed to my single larger rotor. Caliper mounting points were about 1/4 inch lower. Kawasaki.com is a huge help in situations like this...;)
